Community Garden Volunteering

Service Description

Volunteer with us for a relaxed, social gardening session. No experience is needed, tools are provided, the space is fully accessible, and everyone is welcome. When: Every Tuesday from 12th May, 11am–12:30pm Where: Whittington Park Community Centre, N19 4RS Help us grow fresh fruit and veg in the community garden, which go straight into the meals served at our Over 55s Lunch Club three days a week. By volunteering, you will be directly supporting a valued community service while helping the garden thrive for everyone to enjoy. Helena from Octopus will be there each week to guide volunteers, share tips, and help keep things running smoothly. After the session, you are welcome to stay for free tea, coffee and biscuits. If you would like to stay for lunch, you are also welcome to join our Over 55s Lunch Club, which runs Tuesday to Thursday from 1pm to 2pm. Lunch is a two-course meal and costs £4. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can make sure there is enough food for everyone. To join us, please email admin@whittingtonpca.org.uk to let us know you are coming.
