“Having used and loved the Whittington Park Community Centre for many years I strongly support the 50:90 campaign.
Community Centres are the life of any community; they provide a place to meet, support each other, hold special events and a chance to socialise. They can change and improve all our lives. All the best to the Whittington!”
Jeremy Corbyn MP
Local people set up Whittington Park Community Association in 1972 because they wanted to set up services and activities for local people. Some of the first projects were an adventure playground for young people, a lunch club and a nursery.
Today over 700 people a week use the centre and we still believe in being a place where everyone is welcome and can benefit from the classes, activities and services a community centre can provide. Our youth club is a vital place where young people can meet, socialize and feel there’s a time and place just for them.
Today we need the community to pull together and raise £50,000 to help us reach our £1.12m target.
PLEASE KEEP THE SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY ALIVE. DONATE SO THAT WE CAN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK STARTED 46 YEARS AGO.
