Help us Shape a Greener Neighbourhood | Environmental Events Islington
As part of our programme of environmental events in Islington, London, this first community planning session is a chance to find out more about the two-year project and how you can get involved.
We’ll introduce the project, what we hope to achieve and how local people can help shape what happens next. We want to hear where you’d like to see more greenery, which tree pits could be planted up and what kinds of trees and pollinator-friendly plants you’d like to see locally.
No experience in gardening, planting or nature is needed, just an interest in making the neighbourhood greener. Share your ideas and help shape greener streets and spaces for people and wildlife.

Tree Trails & Pollinator Pathways is a collaboration between Octopus Community Network, Islington Council and the National Trust, building on the work of residents in the Tufnell Park Nature Neighbourhoods area.
Over the next two years, the project will work with local communities to create almost 8km of green corridors, improve habitats for pollinators and wildlife, plant up tree pits and make local streets and green spaces better for nature.
This is the first in a series of planning sessions and environmental events taking place as part of the project.
