ROLES
Men’s Social Group Volunteer
After the refurbishment of our hall, we are excited to restart our Men’s Social group. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of local men and contribute to a more connected and supportive community.
Location: Whittington Park Community Centre
Purpose of the role: As a volunteer, you will help facilitate our men social group activities, which include play board games, badminton, and cultural outings. Your role will involve engaging with participants, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and assisting in organizing and coordinating group activities.
Hours required As our members need stability, we ask for a minimum commitment of 3 hours per week for at least 6 months.
Key Responsibilities • Assist with setting up activities like board games, etc. • Chat with the members, having an open ear where necessary. • Help during outings and day trips to places of interest. • Assisting members with mobility issues
Lunch Club and Activities Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to support our Lunch club and activities coordinator in providing an enriched experiences for adults over 55 plus at Whittington Park Community Association. Specialist training is provided (adult safeguarding, food hygiene etc.)
Purpose of the role: To assist the lunch club co-ordinator with the running of the lunch club and related activities
Location: Whittington Park Community Association Centre
Hours Required
Minimum 3 hours per week on a regular basis (12-4pm) for a minimum period of 6 months. Additional 6 - 8 hours when there is a day trip.
